This clinic is the perfect introduction to tennis for your little ones! We provide a fun balance of drills and games to get your child started playing tennis and develop important athletic skills including eye-hand coordination. Our 4 year old clinics are 30 minutes long, which is long enough to have tons of fun on the court while learning tennis, but not so long that it is beyond their attention spans. This clinic is great for all 4 year old players, regardless of prior experience.

Areas of Focus:

• Introduction to basic shots such as forehands, backhands, and volleys

• Introduction to basic rules, including lines on the tennis court

• Developing eye-hand coordination and general athleticism

• Developing good sportsmanship on and off the court

This clinic provides youngsters the perfect introduction to tennis. We provide a healthy balance between technical instruction and fun games to ensure that our students have a blast while learning the fundamentals of the sport, and taking steps forward to improve. Our 5-6 year old clinics are one hour long, which we find to be the perfect length for these players to get the most out of their session. This clinic is great for first time tennis players and beginners.

This clinic provides youngsters either an introduction to tennis, or continuation from our 5-6 year old clinics. We provide a healthy balance between technical instruction and fun games to ensure that our students have a blast while learning the fundamentals of the sport, and taking steps forward to improve. Our 7-9 year old clinics cover all of the general fundamentals, as well as an introduction to point play. Our 7-9 year old clinics are one hour long, which we find to be the perfect length for these players to get the most out of their session. This clinic is great for first time tennis players, beginners, and intermediates. Courts will be split by age and level.

Description:

This clinic is perfect for young players (ages 7–9) who can consistently hit the ball over the net when fed to them and are ready to take the next step in their tennis journey. Players will build on their foundation and skills learned in our regular 7-9 year old clinics with drills and games designed to further develop technique, consistency, basic understanding of the game, new concepts, and more, while beginning to rally and play points.

We maintain a healthy balance between technical instruction , drills, and gameplay to keep kids engaged while learning and improving.

*5-6 year old players with more advanced skills are able to join this group as well with approval from coaches

• Furthering an understanding of the rules of tennis

• Building proper footwork

• Development of rallying skills and an introduction to point play

• Developing eye-hand coordination and general athleticism

Description:

This clinic serves as either an introduction to tennis, a continuation from our 7-9 year old clinics, or a continuation from non-First Serve Tennis clinics. We use drills and games to teach players the fundamentals of tennis while introducing them to advanced technique and strategic concepts. Players in this clinic improve their skills while having fun and developing a lifelong love for the sport. This clinic is geared towards both beginner and intermediate level players. Courts will be split by age and level.

• Developing all shots

• Developing proper footwork, fitness, and general athleticism

• Developing full court rally skills and point play strategies

• Developing good sportsmanship on and off the court

Description:

These clinics are for advanced juniors under the age of 14 who are training for high school or tournament play. The advanced junior clinic is for players who have expressed proficiency in the fundamentals and are ready to push themselves to the next level. Advanced Junior clinics divide players based on age and level, and work to help players reach the level they are looking to attain. They will generally include 2 hours of drills, hitting, and point play. These clinics are led by coaches with high-level coaching and playing experience. Approval from a First Serve Tennis team member is required to join this clinic.

• Becoming proficient in all shots and confident in playing from all areas of the court

• Becoming proficient in proper footwork

• Developing good fitness and athleticism

• Developing matchplay strategies and mental toughness

• Reinforcing good sportsmanship on and off the court

Description:

This clinic is for advanced beginner and/or lower intermediate players who aspire to play for their high school team. Our Intro to High School clinic gives players the perfect introduction to competitive tennis and will prepare them with the skills necessary to succeed in high school tryouts. We use drills and games to develop the fundamentals of tennis while introducing players to advanced technique and strategic concepts. This clinic is great for any high schooler who is not yet on their high school team, but would like to try out during an upcoming season. Courts will be split by level.

*players in this program should be able to hit back and forth full court at least 3 shots in a row

Description:

These clinics are for advanced juniors training for high school or tournament play, high school players looking to grow their skills and excel on their high school team, and JV/Varsity-level players or high-level juniors looking to maximize their game and reach their potential as players. JV/Varsity clinics divide players based on age and level, and work to help players reach the level they are looking to attain. They will generally include 2 hours of drills, hitting, and point play. These clinics are led by coaches with high-level coaching and playing experience. The JV/Varsity clinic is for players who are either already on their high school team, or have gained approval from a First Serve Tennis team member.

• Refining matchplay strategies and mental toughness

• Reinforcing good sportsmanship on and off the court

This clinic is for advanced high school and junior players who have extensive competitive experience and are looking for high level training. We use a blend of drills, point play, and match play to hone in on skills required to excel at the varsity high school and/or tournament level. This clinic teaches advanced concepts, technique, and strategy and trains players to have a winning edge over their opponents. Approval from a First Serve Tennis team member is required for all players in this clinic.

• Mastery of proper footwork

• Targeted fitness training

• Refining matchplay strategies and developing strong mental toughness
